I blame Cat. If it wasn't for her, I never would have started this blog to chronicle the next couple life adventures. And what adventures they will be! I have spent the last year saving and pining in the cornfields of Iowa, waiting. Patience is not one of my best features. I am used to flying without a plan to places like Italy, Ghana, London, etc. So strategically planning on staying in one place, very uncharacteristic of me. Planning on staying in Iowa... well is the devil doing a triple lutz yet?
I could begin with the very long path of decisions I made that first led me to this town in middle America. But let's skip that for now, it is only the beginning after all, and we are just getting acquainted . Let's instead start with the facts of the moment-
1. I am a fashion designer.
2. I am an ETHICAL fashion designer.
3. I am starting my own company.
4. I am in Iowa.
5. I am young and broke.
That pretty much sums it up.
There are obvious challenges. The Story of Schep is a written record of all the mistakes and hopefully triumphs of starting a company and trying to live ethically in the middle of corn. Of course, doing it all while looking fabulous.
